Salt Supply across Sub Saharan Africa

The map shows the main sources and the flow pattern of salt across Africa as well as the proportion of households consuming iodized salt. In countries where a high proportion of the salt supply is iodized, the consumption of iodized salt by the population is correspondingly high. Ensuring that all salt from salt-exporting countries is adequately iodized is a key priority.
